Biography
Sharon Smiley graduated from the two year Law Clerk program at Fanshawe College in 1985. She was employed at a small London firm before working for one of Londons largest law firms doing both plaintiff and defence work. Sharon has been an integral part of MD Lawyers as a Senior Law Clerk since September of 2000. In 2012 she also assumed the role of Practice Manager which involves spearheading protocol changes and firm efficiencies.
She has drafted papers for and been a speaker at the OTLA Fall Conference in 2002, the Law Society of Upper Canada Continuing Education program in June of 2003 and the OTLA conferences in 2007 and 2010. In May of 2009 Sharon was honoured with the OTLA 2009 Distinguished Law Clerk award.
In her spare time Sharon enjoys being with her family, long walks with her dogs or relaxing with a good book.
