Emily Woods joined MD Lawyers, as an Associate Lawyer, following her call to the bar, in September 2023. Emily’s practice is devoted exclusively to plaintiff’s personal injury, medical negligence motor vehicle collisions, and slip and fall claims.
Emily’s route to becoming a lawyer is fascinating. With a keen interest in both medicine and law, she initially pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, at York University. For several years she would flourish in her role as a Registered Nurse, in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Additionally, she was a Clinical Manager of a trauma/neuro unit.
Urning to fulfill her desire to combine her passion for medicine with law, she returned to university, to pursue her law degree, at Queen’s University Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Emily is a compassionate and skillful lawyer who will go the extra distance to protect the rights and interests of those she represents.
Emily is trained in the fundamentals of Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga, enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends and family.
